Speakers

  • Host - Piritta Parkkari

    A researcher at UEF’s Business School, where most of her time is spent as the Impact Manager of UEF’s Neuro-Innovation PhD Programme. She holds a PhD in Social Sciences (Management & Organisation studies). Piritta has experience with entrepreneurship education, innovation, facilitation, and supporting PhD researchers. She helps Neurochallenge teams with ideation and developing their ideas as well as team building.

  • Eero Rissanen

    Director of Neurocenter Finland, a unique collaboration network of neuroscience expertise in Finland, with the aim to enhance RDI collaboration and cross-boundary partnerships to facilitate the development of personalized medicine and innovations for better brain and mental health. Eero Rissanen is also a clinical neurologist with a strong background in clinical neuroscience research, especially in the fields of multimodal imaging and biomarkers of neuroinflammation and neurodegeneration.

  • Minna Hendolin

    The Director of Impact at the University of Eastern Finland. She is responsible for advocating the university’s interests in the RDI sector and impact on the society. Her duties cover university level strategic partnerships with companies, networks and ecosystems.

  • Risto Ilmoniemi

    Distinguished Professor emeritus at Aalto University. The founder and former CEO of Nexstim Plc, the company that brought nTMS and TMS–EEG to the market.

  • Eino Solje

    Director of the UEF Brain Research Unit. Associate Professor, MD, PhD, at University of Eastern Finland Deputy Chief Physician of Neurology at the Kuopio University Hospital
